The Micronesian Cup is the largest outrigger canoe race event in Micronesia. The Cup was founded in 1999, by Primo Surf owner Mrs. Linda Yeomans in hopes of developing the sport of outrigger canoeing around the region. The cup is set up to rotate among the three main islands in Micronesia. Guam, Saipan and Palau.
In the last week of October teams from Hong Kong, Australia, Hawaii, Palau, Guam, Japan, Singapore, and the CNMI get together to see which team will be the next Micronesian Cup Champion in the 500 meters, 1500 meters and long distance events.
The Micronesian Cup will be held in Palau this year on Oct 23 & 24. Check this site for updates.
