Hafa Adai - Saipan Outrigger Canoe Club is a non-profit outrigger canoe club established in 1999. One of three outrigger clubs active on the island of Saipan. Nestled in the western Pacific Ocean, Saipan is the largest island of fourteen in the U.S. Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. Saipan Outrigger Canoe Club's primary goal is to promote the sport of outrigger canoe racing and preserve the ocean legacy of the Northern Mariana Islands and its people. By actively organizing and participating in local and international outrigger canoe races and other paddling events, presenting educational and instructional programs, and offering social events for the benefit of both the Club and the local community, SOCC strives to keep the culture and tradition of outrigger canoeing alive.
